Malaria, an infectious disease, is transmitted by mosquito bites. It is so prevalent that one child dies of malaria every 30 seconds and more than 1 million people die from Malaria each year. Most are young children from developing nations.
Proudly supported by the Monash City Council, JCI (Junior Chamber International) Whitehorse Maroondah is joining the United Nations Foundation to raise awareness across the globe about the reality of malaria. We are committed to working to eradicate malaria.
The competition is open to all secondary school students in the Monash district. You will design a creative poster that incorporates the words 'MosQuito and Me'. Your poster should explore the global impact of malaria and its impact on residents living in the Monash district.
